Ciloxan Eye Drops are antibiotics used for bacterial eye infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness.

Use Ciloxan Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. To use Ciloxan Eye Drops:

• First, wash your hands. Then tilt the head back and pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch. Drop the medicine into the pouch and gently close your eyes. Do not blink. Keep the eyes closed for 1 or 2 minutes to allow the medicine to come into contact with the infection.
• Do not touch the applicator tip on any surface to keep the medicine germ-free. Also, keep the container tightly closed.

To help clear up your eye infection completely, keep using the medicine for the full-time treatment, even if your symptoms have disappeared and if you feel better after a few doses. 

Before using Ciloxan Eye Drops, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, other quinolones, or any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.

Additionally, update your doctor on your medical history, especially regarding: contact lens use and other eye problems.

Your vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying this drug. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity requiring clear vision until you can safely perform such activities. Limit alcoholic beverages.

Ciloxan Eye Drops may cause serious side effects, including:

• hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe burning, or irritation after using this medicine,
• eye swelling, redness,
• severe discomfort of the eye, and
• crusting or drainage from the eye

Get medical help immediately if you have any of the symptoms listed above.

The most common side effects of Ciloxan Eye Drops include the following:

• dry eyes,
• watery eyes,
• eye pain or discomfort,
• red or puffy eyes,
• feeling like something is in your eye,
• blurred vision,
• mild itching, and
• redness or other irritation

Is it safe to consume Caffeine while taking Ciloxan Eye Drops?

You may need to limit your Caffeine intake. Too much Caffeine can cause effects like nausea, nervousness, or sleeplessness. Caffeine may get worse if you take Ciloxan Eye Drops together. 

What should you do if you forget to take a dose of Ciloxan Eye Drops?

Use a missed Ciloxan Eye Drops dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal time. Do not use two doses or extra doses.

What side effects can Ciloxan Eye Drops cause?

Burning, crusting, or crystals in the corner of the eye may occur.
