Temovate Scalp Solution is used to help relieve redness, itching, swelling, or other discomfort caused by certain skin conditions. This medicine is a corticosteroid. The solution is used for scalp problems and moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. 

This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Apply Temovate scalp solution to the affected scalp area as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (in the morning and evening).

After applying the medication:

• Wash your hands unless you are using this medication to treat the hands.
• Avoid getting the medication in your nose or mouth.
• If you get the medication in your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with plenty of water.
• Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse after two weeks.

Before using Temovate scalp solution, tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• If you are allergic to it, any other medications, or its ingredients. 
• Prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, and nutritional supplements or plan to take. 
• Be sure to mention the following: other corticosteroid medications and other topical medications.
• If you have an infection, any other skin problems, or have had diabetes, Cushing's syndrome or liver disease.
• If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects of Temovate Scalp Solution occur:

• Burning or stinging at the application site

Less common

• Burning sensation on the skin
• dry skin
• flushing or redness of the skin
• itching, scaling, severe redness, soreness, or swelling of the skin
• skin irritation
• skin rash, encrusted, scaly and oozing
• thinning of the skin with easy bruising, especially when used on the face or where the skin folds together.

How should you store your Temovate Scalp Solution?

Store at room temperature away from heat and open flame. Keep all Temovate Scalp Solutions away from children and pets.

How should you dispose of Temovate Scalp Solution?

Do not flush Temovate Scalp Solution down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company.

There may be redness, dryness, inflammation, burning, stinging, itching, or irritation.
